食飯 Sik Fan “eat a meal”/ July 2025

As I child, I lost my language of speaking Cantonese and ever since have lost the ability to communicate with my grandparents. My grandpa was a chef and we connect and show love by sharing meals together. Recently, I have started to cook for him the meals he used to cook for me when I was a child. Food is my connection to my grandparents and to my community.

Location: Corner of 11th and Harrison, Oakland, CA

Serenity Mural for The Q-Corner / April 2024

Serenity blossoms as a refuge where individuals can find respite from societal pressures and freely explore their authentic selves. This environment encourages a serene state of mind by promoting inclusivity, empathy, and a shared journey towards self-discovery. By nurturing a sense of serenity, these spaces become nurturing sanctuaries that empower members to embrace their identities and build meaningful connections with others who walk similar paths.

Location: The Q-Corner 1870 Senter Rd, San Jose, CA
